Tablet commemorating the arrival of the N.C.4. in Plymouth Sound

This tablet was erected by the Plymouth Borough Council to commemorate the arrival of the American seaplane N.C.4. in Plymouth Sound on May 31,1919. This was the first Transatlantic flight and the Commander, pilots and crew were welcomed at the Barbican.
