Enjoy a Mediterranean Festival on your Algarve Holiday

If you’re looking for an excuse to escape for the sun, Med Festival is back in Loulé in the Algarve from June 23 – 27, 2010.

Med Festival is one of the most important cultural events in the Algarve region and features more than 40 established bands and performers from Morocco, Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal playing their “world music”. The Mediterranean festival also includes other art forms such as handicraft exhibitions, dance performances and street theatre.

And wherever there’s a festival in Portugal, there’s always food, an important component of any Algarve holiday.  The restaurants in Loulé historic centre will serve up traditional cuisine from each of the countries taking part.

Loulé is a small town about 10 km from the bustling coastline of the Algarve, in between Faro and Albufeira.
