Arriving and Departing Paris by AirParis Orly AirportOrly Airport (ORY) is 16 km (10 miles) south of the city, i.e. on the opposite side to CDG. It was the main Paris airport until Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) opened in 1974 and has two terminals, Orly-Sud (South) and Orly-Ouest (West) connected by the Orlyval shuttle train. Maps of Terminals (PDFs): Orly South | Orly West Getting into Paris from Orly:You can get into town from CDG by train, bus, shuttle or taxi. If you've got heavy or large bags, taking the train can be a hassle, especially in rush-hours. Bus, shuttle or taxis are a better option. If you haven't, then the train is not only cheaper, but it conveniently connects directly into the Métro.
