Home / Poland / Jasna Góra Monastery (Black Madonna) 21
Our brief stop in Czestochowa in the south of Poland was to visit its famous Jasna Góra Monastery, home of the Black Madonna icon.
Jasna Góra Monastery is the third-largest Catholic pilgrimage site in the world and has been a place of pilgrimage for hundreds of years. Millions of pilgrims visit this Czestochowa shrine each year to see the icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa to which miraculous powers are attributed.
