Located in Tully, Kildare, the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens is one of the top attractions in Ireland. You don't have to be a horse-racing enthusiast to appreciate this Stud Farm and the serene Japanese garden.

- In 1900 Col. William Hall-Walker purchased a farm at Tully, Kildare
- In 1915 he gave the Stud as a gift to the British Crown
- In 1943 it was handed back to the Irish government
- In 1945 the Irish National Stud Company was formed
- In return, he was bestowed the title Lord Wavertree
