Home / Switzerland / Zurich Airport and Hotel 13
The external view of the hotel looks like a 3-star office block, however the Mövenpick Zurich Airport Hotel has recently renovated their rooms and if you take one of their Executive rooms, the experience is very comfortable. Our room was a nice size and a rich red voile curtain served as a wall between the sitting area and the bed. My first thought was that this looks more like a harem than an ‘executive’ room.
The room also has tea making facilities and the tea box was nicely filled with all kinds of teas and infusions. What impressed us next was having our own private espresso machine. If you have a coffee dependency as we have, finding an espresso machine in one’s room is a real high. Getting good coffee in hotels is a challenge, so this was a real treat and the N’espresso wasn’t bad either.
The bathroom and the collateral supplied, which included Bvlgari soaps and creams, were swish as well.
Although the Mövenpick Zurich Airport Hotel is located about 2 km from Zurich International Airport, they have a regular free shuttle service to the airport and back, allowing clients the opportunity to shop or dine in the airport complex.
We would certainly use their Executive room again in our next Zurich airport stopover.
