Here he started to breed thoroughbred horses

His soul is laid to rest, surrounded by weeping trees

In 1900 Col. William Hall-Walker purchased a farm at Tully, Kildare

In 1915 he gave the Stud as a gift to the British Crown

In 1943 it was handed back to the Irish government

In 1945 the Irish National Stud Company was formed

In return, he was bestowed the title Lord Wavertree
